Minor Hotel Group (MHG) partnered with Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels (TAR&H), a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, to develop Anantara Resort in Desaru Coast, southeast Malaysia.
The new Anantara Desaru Resort&Villas is scheduled to open in 2018 and is located in the new waterfront development of the Desaru Coast. It will have 123 buttons, including a 103-room resort with luxury rooms and villas and 20 three- and four-bedroom villas. Resort facilities include restaurants and bars, two swimming pools, lounge and observation bar, children’s and teens clubs, meeting rooms, gym and Anantara Spa. Water sports will also be available.
The Desaru Coast is a resort located on the southeastern tip of Johor Bahru, Malaysia, with more than 3,900 acres along a 17-kilometre seafront facing the South China Sea. Located near Iskandar Malaysia, the hotel is 45 minutes from Senai International Airport and a 2-hour drive from Singapore.
Attractions in the area include two championship golf courses managed by Troon Golf (27 holes Ernie Els and 18 holes Vijay Singh), aquaventure park, seaside retail village, convention center and other hotels and resorts.
